This guide is designed to be used by teachers, librarians, and community leaders in a setting that allows for discussion. It offers three activities about sensory processing disorder and the needs of others. Please note:
All students must receive the Sensory Detective activity before experiencing Sensory Rules and Sensory is Real.
The supply list for the Sensory Detective activity provides a variety of sensory options, but not all are necessary.

The three activities are:
Sensory Detective - increases basic knowledge about SPD
Sensory Rules - helps students understand why other classmates receive accommodations
Sensory is Real - brings home why it is important to validate the experiences of others, and to believe friends when they tell us something is too bright, too tight, too loud, etc.
